INVITATION: ‘From Magna Carta to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: 2015 and Beyond’

The Human Rights, International Law and Public Law and Government Committees with the support of the Rule of Law Institute of Australia invite you to a very special event to commemorate the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta and International Human Rights Day

 ‘From Magna Carta to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: 2015 and Beyond’

 

The event will be held on International Human Rights Day at NSW Parliament House and will be hosted by the Hon. Shadow Attorney General of NSW Paul Lynch.

With a panel of eminent academics and professionals, including Professor Martin Krygier, Sarah Pritchard SC and Chris Ward SC, we will discuss the state of the rule of law and its interplay with human rights and freedoms in 2015.

 

A replica of the Magna Carta, which is commissioned to reside in the High Court of Australia from 2016, will also be on display.
