Most ALHR members chose to automatically direct debit their annual membership fee as this helps to keep our administration costs down and ensure we can devote the maximum available resources to human rights advocacy.

Annual membership subscription fees fall due on the anniversary of the member’s date of joining.

If you are a current ALHR member you will need to log into the ALHR website with your user name and password before renewing your membership.
If you do this our system will bring across all of your details so you need only select your chosen class of membership and proceed to payment.

Can I join ALHR if I am not a lawyer?
If you are not a lawyer or law student but would like to be involved in ALHR we would love to welcome you as a “Friend of ALHR” Although not voting members ‘Friends of ALHR’ are able to support and closely follow our work.

How do I change my class of membership?
ALHR membership renewals fall due calendar yearly 12 months from your last payment. If your professional circumstances have altered you can change your class of membership here.

If a member wishes to cancel their ALHR membership they must do so in the ALHR membership portal or by contacting membershipenquiries@alhr.org.au at least seven (7) business days prior to their annual membership fee falling due and being direct debited. ALHR reserves the right not to refund or to charge an administration fee for refund requests where this requirement has not been met.
