In the distance, the parliamentary promise of a more just, accountable, compassionate, tolerant and democratic society looms large on the political agenda for Queensland in 2016″.  Benedict Coyne, Queensland State Convenor of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights (ALHR) has written an opinion piece on Queensland’s attempt at adopting a Bill of Rights.  Benedict has co-spearheaded the movement for a Qld Charter of Rights which is now before a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry.
