HRA4SA Community Workshop on the Right to Housing

Please join us for an interactive online workshop exploring options for advancing legal recognition of the human right to housing in South Australia led by Shelter SA. Hear how this work fits into the broader campaign for a Human Rights Act for South Australia.

Time & Location

22 Sept 2025, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm – VIA ZOOM

 About the Event

South Australia is in the midst of a housing crisis that requires dignity-based short, medium and long term solutions.

Elsewhere in Australia active consideration is being given to enacting a legally enforceable right to housing, and human rights approaches to policy making and service delivery have been employed.

Join us for a conversation about the human right to housing and how it fits into existing advocacy in this area.

Speakers include: Dr Alice Clark, Shelter SA; and representatives from Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and Rights Resource Network SA.

We intend to develop some practical advocacy strategies and actions to advance together ahead of the 2026 State Election.

All welcome. For further information contact Dr Sarah Moulds on sarah.moulds@unisa.edu.au
